A group of villagers in Buryatia asked Vladimir Putin to run for the presidency in 2018.
On Friday the Russian leader held a meeting on fire suppression in Buryatia and Irkutsk. A resident of the village of Cheremushki got a chance to have a word with the participants via videolink. Speaking about how to recover after a house fire, the farmer addressed the head of state:
“Vladimir Vladimirovich, we would like to ask you to run for president again at the upcoming elections.”
“I will think of it, thank you,” Putin answered.
