Deported Ukrainian girl: I had to buy ticket using volunteer money


Alina Fortuna, fighter of the “Right Sector”, was spending holidays in Belarus.

The Ukrainian, who fought in Donbas as part of the “Right Sector” volunteer corps, was detained in Minsk after she finished talking with “Belsat” journalist. Alina “Fortuna” Kosovskaya and Ales Zaleuski, along with the operator, were grabbed by people in civilian clothes when they were exiting the house. Unknown people dragged them into a van with no plates.

“They did not introduce themselves and did not ask any questions,” said Ales Zaleuski.

Then the journalists and the girl were taken to the Savetski rayon police department, from where the Ukrainian woman was taken to the airport, and the journalists were released.

The girl hiding under the name of Alina Fortuna spent the last week in our country, visiting Mahiliou, Vitsebsk and Minsk.

“I noticed from the beginning that the KGB was watching me in different cities,” she said in a conversation with “Belsat”.

In Homiel she went to theMikhail Zhyzneuski’s parents and was going to Brest, to visit the grave of Alyaksandr Charkashyn.

During the trip, she received from “Belarusian patriots” money for Belarusian and Ukrainian volunteers fighting in Donbas on the Ukrainian side.

“Today, on leaving the house where I stayed, I was detained by the KGB. They searched my belongings without my presence. They also wanted to take my tablet, which I received from the caring Belarusians for the needs of the volunteers, but I did not ket them have it,” said Alina. – Then I was taken to the airport and was forced to buy a plane ticket.”

“I want to thank all the Belarusian patriots for helping our volunteers. We now have a tablet for intelligence services, $200, a lot of Belarusian symbols and all sorts of useful little things,” wrote Alina yesterday.

During the call, Alina Fortuna was in the Borispol airport and did not know whether all of her things were in place, because she “had not have time to check the bag.”
