‘Big Talk’ with Lukashenka cancelled. Coronavirus threat behind?

The Big Conversation with President has been postponed for an unspecified period, TUT.BY reports.

The event which was scheduled for March, 12 is a televised meeting with President Alyaksandr Lukashenka to which journalists, experts and members of the public are invited.

“If your question implies that the spread of the virus is the reason for the cancellation of the event, my answer is that the case is more than the coronavirus. The President’s position on this issue is clear: there should be no facile optimism and careless attitude to the situation and everyone needs to be very careful now,” presidential press secretary Natallya Eysmant said.

For the first time, the Big Conversation took place in 2017. Last year the event was held on March 1 and lasted more than seven hours.
