Naftan to remain without Russian oil

Russia does not intend to supply oil to Belarusian Naftan in the third quarter of this year, reports Interfax.

Russia plans to export 51.86 million tons of oil in the third quarter of this year. According to the documents, the Navapolatsk refinery (Naftan) won’t receive oil, while only 2.36 million tons of raw materials will go to the Mazyr refinery.

In the second quarter of this year, Belarusian oil refineries Navapolatsk and Mazyr received 2.25 million tons of black gold from Russia.

In May this year, amid the adoption of sanctions against Belneftekhim by the United States, Russian suppliers of raw materials practically stopped supplying oil to Naftan.

After his visit to Sochi, Lukashenka said that he had allegedly managed to agree with Putin on oil supplies. The Kremlin did not react to these statements. Now it turns out that there were no such agreements.
