Belarusian Prime Minister Andrey Kabyakou and his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev have had their photo taken under the coat of arms of the Belarusian city of Mahiliou; Pahonya (Pursuit), the historical emblem of the Belarusian nation, being part of it.
Moreover, Pahonya and the white-red-white flag are commonly believed to be the symbols of Belarusian opposition.
The city of Mahiliou is hosting a meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Belarus-Russia Union State on Thursday. The Belarusian side hopes that Russia will cut the gas price for its ‘closest ally’.
