On August 19, another rally took place in Hrodna. About 10 thousand people gathered on Lenin Square. The authorities suddenly went back on their word and canceled all agreements reached earlier. The protesters were not given audio equipment, a normal platform, they had no electricity to connect the equipment. Therefore, some of the protesters spoke with their equipment.

A Belsat correspondent says that there were policemen on the square who warned several times that the rally was unauthorized. A provocateur with a St. George’s ribbon was also seen near the podium, but he was chased away.
