The limit for duty-free import of goods in international mail to Belarus was increased to 200 euros and 31 kilograms. But there is a catch: this is the overall monthly limit. A single shipment is, as before, not more than 22 euros and 10 kilograms.
The new decree of the President of Belarus No. 490 “On Customs Regulation” is liberalizing postage, TUT.BY reports.
Since April 14, 2016 the maximum amount of parcel cost to Belarus was limited to 22 euros and 10 kilograms per month (regardless of the number of purchases). For everything above the limit, you needed to pay extra 30% of the excess amount. Additionally, for each parcel you must pay a customs fee of 5 euros for customs operations.
It turns out that according to the new rules, eacj month a person can order goods by post for 22 euros (no duties and customs duties).
Last year, the Belarusians received about 11 million parcels from abroad. The rate of duty-free import of 22 euros was exceeded by only about 1% of recipients.
