Belarusian activists have laid flowers at the Russian Embassy in Minsk in memory of opposition politician Boris Nemtsov who was killed in Moscow three years ago.
Boris Nemtsov was shot dead on February 27, 2015 not far from the Kremlin. Five Chechens were arrested over the case of the murder of the politician. Although they were sentenced to long terms of imprisonment in 2017, Russian authorities failed to name the instigator(s) of the crime.
Notably, Chechnya’s strongman Ramsan Kadyrov described Zaur Dadayev, one of the arrested for the murder, as a ‘brave warrior’ and a ‘true patriot of Russia’.
