Belarus launches production of Russian coronavirus vaccine Sputnik V


Belarusian pharmaceutical enterprise RUE Belmedpreparaty is launching production of the Russian vaccine Sputnik V against coronavirus, the Ministry of Health reported in its Telegram channel.

The Russian company Generium has transferred the technology to Belarus. Now the first series of the vaccine “Gam-KOVID-Vak” (“Sputnik V”) is being produced. After the study of this vaccine Belarusian company Belmedpreparaty will start developing industrial volumes of the drug. The Belarusian company is also working on testing the technology of the Sputnik V full-cycle vaccine production in Belarus.

“This is a good start of our scientific and medical cooperation,” said Health Minister Dzmitry Pinevich.
