According to the military, the gun displayed by the investigating committee and called Makarov pistol is not a military weapon. It is a flare gun MR371, which is used for sporting events for starting shots. It is impossible to do harm with it. A characteristic feature of these guns is a hole in the handle, through which the powder gases get out of the capsules. A real gun in this part has a screw. the Investigative Committee showed the photos of one side of the gun only, as is the back is engraved: starting gun MR371. This gun is not considered a weapon, does not require any permits and can freely be transported across the border.
