Ukraine election: Zelenskiy gaining over 70% votes


The Central Election Commission in Ukraine has already processed 89.41% of protocols on the results of the voting in the second round of the presidential elections.

Volodymyr Zelenskiy received 73.19% of the votes (12,160,694) while Petro Poroshenko, saw support of 24.48% (4,068,156), news agency UNIAN reports on Monday evening.

On April 21, the National exit poll said Zelenskiy was gaining 73%, while Poroshenko was far behind with 25.5%. The turnout in the second round stood at 62.07%, the CEC said. The official results will be announced on April. 30.
