The Belarusian Investigative Committee is enquiring into the case against the head of KVT import carrier company, the official partner of UBER in Belarus.
The probe has been launched by the Department of Financial Investigations of the State Control Committee in Minsk, its official repersentative Maryna Drankova reports.
The director of the company, who is suspected of tax evasion which caused grand damage on a large scale, was arrested and placed in detention.
According to the investigators, several drivers who earn on the side of Uber through KVT import contacted Belarusian law enforcement agencies: about 150 persons were allegedly not given their earnings for the last month.
