Belsat TV’s YouTube channel ranks first in terms of subscribers among those of other Belarusian media outlets. It is one of the most-viewed Belarusian channels as well.
Having gained 11,500 news subscribers in March, our channel has taken the first place with the amount of 40,434. Now we are ahead of the former leader, news portal tut.by (it has 40,254 subscribers and 23 889 362 views of its videos).
The growth in popularity may be attributed to Belsat TV covering recent protest rallies in Belarus. Despite the threat of repression, our journalists were livestreaming street protests throughout the country. The live stream of Freedom Day in Minsk was viewed 347,124 times.
In March, the total number of views of our videos on YouTube reached a record number of 10 million.
On our Youtube channel one can watch Belsat TV programs, news bulletins along with video materials created by Belsat’s web editors (the latter are not always broadcast).
