Salaries in Belarus are rising only for small number of people


The welfare of the Belarusians continues to grow, Belstat reports. According to the statistics department, in January-November last year, real cash income increased by 8.4% compared to the same period in 2017.

At the same time, the National Statistical Service reports that according to the data from November last year, about 54.6% of the population of Belarus received earnings in the amount of even less than 800 rubles. Only 29.5% of Belarusians have a salary of over 1,000 rubles. About 20% of the country’s citizens have incomes ranging from 600 to 800 rubles. Less than the minimum wage, which last year amounted to 305 rubles, in Belarus is received by 3% of workers.
