A special operations unit of the Russian Airborne Troops (VDV) has arrived in Minsk to participate in the joint bilateral special tactical exercises, the Russian Defense Ministry reports.
The exercise, which will take place in one of the Belarusian military training centers, will invlve Special Forces of the Russian airborne troops and special operations forces of the Armed Forces of Belarus.
Preparation for the drill will be carried out from 25 September to 8 October, the Defense Ministry reports. The number of Russian military, who have arrived in Minsk, has not been specified.
Meanwhile, the website of Belarusian Ministry of Defense has no information of the exercise.
