Mova Fest: Belarusian language festival takes place in Minsk (photo report)

Last weekend Minsk hosted Mova Fest, an event encouraging Belarusians to speak their native language.

The first-ever Mova Fest was held in the wake of International Mother Language Day; about 10,000 persons attended it.

Only Belarusian-language bands and singers, including Akute, Mutnaje Voka, Pyotr Kluyeu, Gleboki Smak, Vuraj, performed at the event on two stages. Iconic rock musician Lyavon Volski was the headliner of the show.

Belsat TV was one of sponsors and media partners of the festival promoting the native language.
