Lukashenka orders to start hockey kit production in Belarus


Belarus should start manufacturing  sports equipment and sportswear, including hockey kits, president Alyaksandr Lukashenka said.

“It is no good when the head of state is making uniform for the team together with fashion designers,” the Belarusian leader told journalists.

According to Deputy Prime Minister Vasil Zharko, the Belarusian government has already received Lukashenka’s order which is be fulfilled in 2017.

“Equipment for children’s and youth sport schools should be domestically produced. We have studied the issue; there are companies that will manufacture uniform, guards, helmets and skates.

As reported earlier, Alyaksandr Lukashenka strongly criticized the performance of Belarusian hockey players at the World Cup 2017 and promised to draw conclusions.
