Instead of classes: Minsk medical students forced to view presidential speech?

Today, a number of students of the Belarusian State Medical University (BSMU) have not reportedly had lectures and classes in the real sense of the word; they were shown the State of the Nation Address by president Alyaksandr Lukashenka instead.

The Telegram channel ‘Small Fifth Column’ (Пятая колонка) reported about the current situation in the Minsk-based university and posted a photo of the students and Lukashenka’s image on the big screen.

BSMU First Vice Rector Iryna Maroz declined comment to Beksat TVsaying she should secure the Health’s Ministry approval for commenting.

Our journalists have repeatedly tried to reach the ministry, but the officials keep dodging phone calls during working hours.
