Human Rights Day: Chains placed on door to Belarus Information Ministry

On Monday morning, chains appeared at the main entrance to the Belarusian Information Ministry, Telegram channel Basta! reports.

Unidentified activists apparently aimed at reminding the officials of the International Human Rights Day which is marked on December, 10. They also glued leaflets citing excerpts from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (Art. 19) and the Belarusian Constitution (Art. 33) close to the door.

The door was blocked for some time, as the chains needed to be removed with the help of nippers.

The Belarusian Information Ministry is notorious for its contributing to the persecution of independent journalists and media outlets.
