Health Ministry: Some people died before reaching hospitals

The official representative of the Ministry of Health of Belarus Yuliya Vanina confirmed the deaths of protesters, Komsomolskaya Pravda reports.

“They died before reaching the hospitals,” said the spokeswoman of the Ministry.

According to her, those who’ve got into the care of physicians, are hanging in there:

“In hospitals, thank God, everyone is still being treated. There have been no dead people”, she said.

So far, two deaths of protesters – Alyaksandr Taraikouski and Alyaksandr Vikhor – have been officially reported. They were buried on August 15 and 16, respectively. Another 81 people are still missing.
