There are now pictures and videos of unusual atmospheric phenomena over the town of Sharkaushchyna in Vitsebsk region. A real tornado can be seen hurling over the town. The strongest of the whirlwinds destroyed several buildings, damaged roofs and broken glass.
“As a result of gusty wind in the Sharkaushchyna district, Vitsebsk region, on July 11, the roofs of 20 residential houses and 3 cattle farms in the Marki village were damaged; two cranes rolled over at the Sharkaushchyna station. Eight settlements and 2 farms were left without electricity. Wind speed reached 16 m/s,” said the Emergency Ministry statement.
A storm warning was announced in the Vitsebsk region. The first wave reached Minsk at 19:45.
