Last September, the Belarusian Free Belarus Center project and the Ukrainian human rights activists launched an initiative to change the conditions for Belarusians, who were forced to leave their native country due to political persecution.

As a result, Belarusian citizens will not be subject to limitations on temporary stay (usually, 90 days) from December 2020 until December 31, 2021. Thus, according to the decree, Belarusians, who have arrived in Ukraine legally, may temporarily stay on its territory for no more than 180 days within 365 days. Now this decision has been extended until the end of December 2022.
