Russian politician asks Putin to help DNR and LNR with 'military products'

The leader of the United Russia faction in the Russian State Duma, Vladimir Vasilyev, has expressed concern about protecting the lives of Russian citizens and compatriots residing in the territories of the so-called DNR and LNR, TASS reported.

The United Russia faction has asked the Russian leadership to assist the so-called Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics and supply them with the military products needed to deter aggression and protect citizens. The leader of the United Russia faction in the State Duma, Vladimir Vasilyev, spoke about it on January 26.

“We appeal to the leadership of our country to assist the Luhansk and Donetsk republics by supplying it with military products necessary to deter aggression, as well as to take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of citizens,” Vasilyev said.

“We are concerned about protecting the lives of Russian citizens and compatriots living in the DNR and LNR. In the Duma Council, in the faction, in the party, we have consulted on this issue and understood that we could not abandon people to the arbitrariness of the Kyiv regime,” Vasilyev added.
