No more hotline for domestic violence victims after raid on NGOs


The public association “Gender Prospects” has indefinitely suspended the national hotline for victims of domestic violence. The activists of the organization wrote about it on Facebook.

On July 14, during the raid on public organizations, law enforcement officers came to the office of “Gender Perspectives” with a search. The public organization deals with domestic violence, discrimination in the labor market, and gender equality.

Svyatlana Tsikhanouskaya said recently said that NGOs do the work that should be done by the state. But instead of gratitude, the authorities continue to retaliate against civil society.
