Belsat gets third 'silver button' from Youtube

The YouTube video service has sent Belsat its third mark for reaching 100,000 subscribers. “Belsat News,” “Belsat Life,” and “Vot Tak” channels now have a real silver sign with the service’s logo.

The first two channels are special because they are in the Belarusian language. “Belsat News” became the first Belarusian language channel to get a silver button two years ago, and now it remains the most popular of the Belarusian language channels on YouTube with almost half a million subscribers. It is followed by Radio Liberty with 225,000 subscribers (and its own silver button).

Belsat Life, a channel that tells people’s personal stories, recently got its own Silver Button and now has 102,000 subscribers.

Only Belsat has two Silver Buttons for its two Belarusian language channels.

Belsat’s Russian language channel “Vot Tak TV” now has 316,000 subscribers. We haven’t heard about the Belarusian media outlets with three “Silver Buttons” at once.

And these are not all of Belsat’s YouTube channels: we have “Zhestachaiyshy mult,” “Belsat Now,” “Belsat Historia,” “Belsat Music,” “Belsat Doc,” channels in English and Polish.

And if YouTube is not enough for you, we are also available in the social feeds and messengers like Telegram, Facebook, Instagram, VK, Odnoklassniki, Twitter, and even TikTok.

The next step is the Gold Button for 1 million subscribers. (When you have half a million, it’s not that far to a million – can we do it?) Only two dozen Belarusian YouTube channels have this rating, most of which feature entertainment, games, and creative content. Among the media, TUT.by and Onliner.by have the Golden Button. Only one Belarusian YouTube user, blogger Ulad Bumaha, has the Diamond Button and over 10 million subscribers.

P.S. The buttons are not really silver or gold. Our “silver” ones are made of copper-nickel alloy. But we still cherish them.
