Belarusian volunteer receives award in Ukraine


Dzmitry Rubasheuski from Belarus, who serves in the Ukrainian army, has been awarded a medal of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, 3rd degree, the headquarters of the Operation united forces reports.

A military medic Yulia Krymtsava has received the medal along with Dzmitry Rubasheuski. According to the press release, “their successful and professional actions during combat operations, evacuation and medical assistance” saved the life of their comrade – chief sergeant Andrey Dyachyshyn, who received a severe through-bullet head wound during the shelling of Ukrainian troops’ positions in Donbas.

Dzmitry Rubasheuski is a 29-year-old Belarusian volunteer from Brest who has been fighting in Donbas since 2015. In December 2017, he was awarded the “People’s Hero of Ukraine” Order, established by Ukrainian volunteers. In 2019, Dzmitry was severely wounded.
