Belarus customs officer dead after being hit by truck

According to the Belarus State Customs Committee, the woman died, and a criminal case was launched against the driver.

The accident happened between 12:00 and 13:00. Nasha Niva reports that the customs officer was collecting documents when the driver drove under the shed and ran her over. The truck had European license plates.

The woman died on the spot. Investigators are working at the scene.

The checkpoint “Kazlovichy” is located in the Brest region on the Belarusian-Polish border.

The State Customs Committee expresses deep condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. The family of the employee will receive the necessary assistance, authorities said.
