Journalist Alyaksandr Ivulin becomes suspect in criminal case

Alyaksandr Ivulin, a journalist of Tribuna.com, was detained in a criminal case. Alyaksandr was sentenced to 30 days of arrest, but he was transferred from the TDF to the detention center, according to the newspaper.

Ivulin is charged in a criminal case. Tribuna.com reports that Alyaksandr is suspected of a crime under Article 342 of the Criminal Code (“Organization and preparation of actions that grossly violate public order, or active participation in them”). The maximum punishment under the article is three years in prison.

The journalist and sportsman Alyaksandr Ivulin was detained on 3 June and the editor of the project “ChestnOK” Yaraslau Pisarenka. They were taken from the apartment by unknown persons in plain clothes. The next day it was reported that Ivulin was sentenced to 30 days in jail for allegedly putting a flag in the window.

On 3 July, Alyaksandr was to be released.
