U.S. Congress adopts resolution on Russian involvement in G7 Summit

U.S. Congressmen has adopted by a majority of voices a resolution that Russia cannot be included in the Big Seven until it begins to “respect the territorial integrity of its neighbors. Earlier, the document was accepted by the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives”, DW.com reported.

A congressional resolution provides that Moscow can only return to the Big Seven after “ending its occupation of Ukraine’s sovereign territory, including Crimea, and putting an end to its attack on democracies around the world.

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump spoke out in favor of inviting Vladimir Putin to the G7 summit, but in response, U.S. Congressmen strongly opposed it.
