Tajikistani woman detained for selling Belarusian girl into slavery


A Tajik national was detained in Moscow for human trafficking, the Investigative Committee of Russia reports.

The suspect was caught in hte act in a Moscow cafe, where she made a deal with a dummy customer. The trafficked persons were a 20-year-old native of Ryazan region and a 25-year-old citizen of Belarus. The Tajik resident was going to get 100 thousand Russian rubles ($ 1,700) for them. The name of the Belarusian as well as her current location was not reported.

A criminal case has been launched, Russian law enforcement bodies are gathering the necessary evidence.
