Rescuers localized the fire on May 30, and later extinguished it around 5 am on June 1.
During the fire elimination, 38 pieces of equipment were used, 89 people took part in the operation. Fourteen of them were from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and 59 were rescuers.
Officials say fire was caused by carelessness.
Nobody was hurt, but, according to ex-press.by, the dump continues to burn, and the suffocating smoke may remain over the city until tomorrow.
