Russian TV Dozhd crew brutally detained in Minsk

Journalists of the independent Russian TV channel Dozhd (Rain) have been detained in the centre of Minsk, the NEXTA telegram channel reports.

“There has just been a brutal detention at 18 Internatsyianalnaya Street in Minsk. Unknown masked men brutally detained three men and took them away in an unknown direction. Moreover, the video shows that the passing police failed to respond to the incident,” NEXTA commented on the video.

The photo of the detention has been published by My Country Belarus.

According to MBK-Media, among those detained were journalists Vasili Polonsky, Vladimir Romensky and Nikolai Antipov.

Maryia Kalesnikava, a A representative of the United Headquarters and election agen of imprisoned might-have-been presidential candidate Viktar Babaryka, has confirmed that the journalists were detained after a conversation with her on the street.
