Russian Olympic team facing suspension

Another doping scandal: the Russian national team may be suspended from the 2020 Olympics which will be held in Tokyo, the British media The Telegraph reports.

The reason for the possible suspension is Russia’s suspected forgery of the data of the Moscow AntiDoping Laboratory transferred to the World Anti-Doping Agency during the last 18 months. This way the Russians tried to hide the systematic use of doping by their athletes.

The final decision will be taken after the September 23rd meeting in Tokyo, where a report on the Moscow Anti-Doping Laboratory will be presented.

The Summer Olympic Games will begin in Tokyo in July 2020.
