Chechnya-based National Guard officer has wounded four colleagues who later died. The shooter was killed on the spot.
“According to preliminary information, today at about 16:00 MSK, in the Shelkovskaya village of the Chechen Republic, first lieutenant mortally wounded four of his colleagues in one of the military units of the North Caucasus region of the Russian Federation. The soldier opened fire in the barracks, he was liquidated by the unit on duty,” said the press service representative of the department.
In order to clarify all the circumstances of the incident, a group of officers of the Central Office Russian National Guard was sent to the scene, TASS reports.
Name and the motives of the shooter have not been made public.
