Only men could take part in the race held by the Belarusian Federation of Athletics on the occasion of Defender of the Fatherland Day. Women were offered to be volunteers.
The traditional race started at 16:00 near the Palace of Sports on February 23. Participants could run one or three kilometres.

The organisers recommended that participants eat two hours before the start to avoid risking their health in cold weather conditions.

Those who showed the three best results on two courses received awards from the Athletics Federation. A special prize was also prepared for the best team for team spirit and creativity.

Only 2,600 people reached the finish line. Last year a record 3,000 people took part in the race, the year before last — 1,600 people.
