Oleg Sentsov supporters detained in Moscow


The Moscow police detained protesters on Chistoprudny Boulevard who gathered in support of the Ukrainian director and political prisoner Oleg Sentsov.

According to the Russian ovdinfo.org, 10 people were detained.

In total, about 30 people came to the rally, some of them held posters in support of the convicted director.

Earlier on Tuesday, the “Free Word” association held single pickets at the monument to Pushkin in Moscow. Among others, the writer Lyudmila Ulitskaya and the literary critic Marietta Chudakova took part in it, Novaya Gazeta reports.

Director Oleg Sentsov is serving a 20-year sentence in Russia on charges of preparing terrorist attacks in the annexed Crimea. Sentsov has been on a hunger strike in the colony for 100 days, demanding the release of Ukrainian political prisoners in Russia.
