Over 20 tons of Greek salad prepared in Red Square

A Guinness World Record was broken on September 4 in Moscow. Over 1,000 volunteers collected and filled a truck with 100 kilograms of sliced vegetables together with olives, oil and spices.

After weighing and registering the record, three people wearing cellophane clothes climbed into the back of the truck. They used shovels to stack salad in buckets that were then lowered down and distributed to everyone. Part of the dish was donated to social organizations, and the rest was eaten in 20 minutes.

The “Metro” newspaper argues that only the first three tens of people received salad, and then the crowd started pushing. The people torn down the fence, snapped up the empty food containers and, without waiting for the portions, took home tablecloths, glued to the tape with cello-tape.
