President Alyaksandr Lukashenka has given an upbeat assessment of the Belarusian science.
At today’s ceremony of presenting diplomas of academicians and corresponding members of the National Academy of Sciences, diplomas of doctors of sciences and professor certificates to scientific and pedagogical workers the Belarusian leader said:
“We have the right to expect discoveries which would be beyond the bounds of possibility from you. This is the bone of science. From now on, you will start to exist in a new professional reality. It means that you should work hard to be consistent to your mission. In addition, it is even more vital you train good mentees and followers.”
The Belarusian leader also commented on the role of soft scientists in Belarus.
“Teachers, historians, sociologists are facing a difficult and important job. Nowadays many persons keep trying to rewrite our past. They cannot settle down. You need to properly beat this challenge back. You should leave objective vision of our life and the true history to our descendants,” he added.
