The official opening ceremony of the International Exhibition of Armament and Military Equipment “MILEX-2019” this year was headed by the country’s Prime Minister Syarhey Rumas. The exhibition was launched at the Historical and Cultural Complex “Stalin Line”. On May 15-18, visitors of the forum can explore the military equipment from the Second World War, the press service of the Council of Ministers reports.
The main exhibition space is located in the sports complex “Minsk-Arena” and in the adjacent open area. More than 160 manufacturers and exporters of defense products from Belarus, Azerbaijan, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Poland, Russia, Serbia and South Africa are showcasing their equipment there. The largest exposition spaces belong to Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, and China.
The MILEX will host the 8th international scientific conference on military-technical issues, defense and security issues, as well as dual-use technologies.
The exhibition is considered one of the largest in the Eastern European region. Since 2001, this large-scale review of weapons has traditionally attracted the attention of military products’ manufacturers. Among the organizers are the State Military-Industrial Committee of Belarus, the Ministry of Defense and the National Exhibition Center Belexpo.
