Detention live: Police after two Belsat TV journalists in Maladzechna

Soon after today’s rally of presidential candidate Svyatlana Tsikhanouskaya in the town of Maladzechna, Belsat journalists Zmitser Mitskevich and Dzyanis Dzyuba were grabbed by the local police during the livestream they were conducting.

The policemen failed to introduce themselves or give the reason for the detention. They pushed the crew into a van and ordered them to stop filming. According to our contributors, then the officers broke their camera.

Mitskevich and Dzyuba have been reportedly taken to the police station in Halitski street.

(UPD) The journalists spent there for almost 5 hours, they were released at about 10.30 pm. Their mobile phones and equipment were confiscated.
