“Blue Whale” is a so-called “death group” inciting minors to various acts of unlawful nature, which pose a threat to life have once again resurfaced in the social network of Vitsebsk.
A week ago, a local resident brought a daughter with severe body cuts to the regional center “Psychiatry-narcology” in Hrodna. It turned out that the teenage girl inflicted herself cuts on the order of the “Blue Whale” administrator in the social network “VKontakte”. During the conversation with the girl experts found out that the game had lasted for 1.5 months, and at the end of the game, according to belnovosti.by, the teenager was to commit suicide.
Recently, another Vitsebsk teenage girl, who had played the dangerous game, tried to commit suicide, but was rescued. Vitsebsk prosecutors disclosedd the details of the incident: following the game rules, the girl cut her hands, left a suicide note in the social network. She was going to jump off the roof of the house, but was rescued by police. The teenager was very sorry she did not finish the game. She was sent for treatment to the regional ‘Psychiatry and Addiction’ center.
The Investigative Committee of Vitsebsk has opened a criminal case under Part. 2 of the article 146 of the Criminal Code – incitement to suicide.
