Information about the arrest was posted on Facebook by the official representative of the Investigative Committee Yulia Hacharova.
Financial Investigation Department of the State Control Committee has opened a criminal case against the businessman Yury Averyanau (who left Belarus and now lives in Western Europe) and a number of businessmen. They are suspected of tax evasion. The case was transferred to the Investigation Committee.
Besides Averyanau, law enforcement officers detained the director of the enterprise “Trade World — Ring,” as well as top manager of the Dreamland Park, Madison Royal Club, and several individuals.
Yuryi Averyanau is one of the first Belarusian businessmen and US dollar millionaires. His main assets include companies “Intex”, “Rostem” and “Kaltso” trade centers.
He is the owner of the ‘Dreamland’ park, the car market in Malinauka, construction markets, cinemas and nightclubs.
Last year, he left Belarus over big debts from the loans (about $ 40 million), which the businessman had taken in Belarusian banks.
