Best postage stamp competition in Europe -- vote now!

The Association of European Postal Operators Post Europe is holding a competition to determine the most beautiful postal stamp with historical theme. Belarus is also participating. Here’s what it has to offer.

Stamps with images of old postal ways from dozens of countries take part in the contest.

Belarus is represented by the stamp from Belposhta, which shows a map with the Krakow-Warsaw-Hrodna-Vilnius road of the GDL times. The Grand Duke of Lithuania Stephen Báthory approved this route in 1583. Against the background of the map one can see a postman holding a sheet where it is indicated where to deliver the letters.

Online voting on the association’s website is held from May 9th to September 9th.
