Belarusian military to use free Chinese armored vehicles

China will supply Belarus with CS/VN3 armored personnel carriers, which are designed for rapid deployment and special operations.

They are particularly well suited for use in complex urban and mountain conditions.

Last week, Belarusian servicemen were trained in maintenance of armored cars at a plant in Chongqing, China.

The CS/VN3 is capable of road speeds of up to 100 km/h. In water, the armored car moves at a speed of 6 km/h. 160 liters of fuel in the tank is enough for 600 kilometers. The crew consists of two people, three more are in the troop compartment. It has two machine guns on board. Its armor can protect the crew from the fire of small arms and shell fragments. The bullet-proof windows of the armored vehicles are equipped with loopholes for firing small arms, the assault team leaves CS/VN3 through the back door.

It is not the first time that Belarus is getting a free military-technical assistance from China. In the spring of 2015, Belarus received from China a FAW HongQi L5 vehicle, and even earlier — a DongFeng Mengshi EQ2050, known in Belarus as a “Strongman”.
