Belarus: Rise in the dollar, euro

The exchange rate of the U.S. dollar has gone up by nearly 300 Belarusian rubles, that of the euro – by 600.

At Monday’s trading on the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange, the dollar reached Br 19.048. The euro is sold at 20.737.

According to financial analysts, the Belarusian ruble is weakening hot on the heels of the Russian currency. In turn, another fall of the ruble was triggered by oil price downturn.

It is to be recalled that the average dollar exchange rate of Br 18.700 was included into the country’s budget.

At the same time, experts predict that the gradual devaluation of the Belarusian ruble will continue and the dollar may reach Br 23.000.
