Belarus -- leader in consumer prices growth in former USSR


The analysis covered the time frame of January-July 2016. Over 7 months, consumer prices in the country increased by 7.8%.

Belarus is followed by:

Azerbaijan (5.9%);

Kazakhstan (5.2%);

Ukraine (4.8%);

Russia (3.9%);

Tajikistan (3.7%);

Estonia (1.8%);

Latvia (0.8%);

Lithuania (0.3%).

Prices decreased in Moldova (0.9%), Georgia (1%), Kyrgyzstan (2.3%) and Armenia (3.3%).

During the same period last year, Belarus was in the third place.
