Ukraine to not resume electricity supplies from Belarus

Andriy Gerus said that the auction for the sale of electricity was canceled.

“There will be no electricity imports from the Russian Federation starting from November 1. On October 20, the Inter RAO announced an electricity auction, which was canceled on October 21. Also, there will be no electricity imports from Belarus from November 1. Auctions for the sale of electricity were not held,” Gerus wrote in his Telegram channel.

He also said that on October 29, there were 675 thousand tons of coal at the state thermal power plants and CHPs. The minimum coal reserves, which must be in place according to the conditions of the licensing activity, were not maintained at seven Ukrainian thermal power plants, Gerus specified.
