Russia transfers Pantsir-S air defense systems to Belarus


Air defense complexes Pantsir-S have arrived in Belarus from the Eastern Military District of Russia as part of the examination of the Union State response forces, reports Reform.by with reference to the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry.

“After the unloading is complete, the personnel will move on standard equipment to specified areas, where they will carry out a set of measures to equip positions, carry out maintenance of equipment and go on training duty for air defense in the unified regional air defense system of Belarus and Russia,” reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The inspection of the Union State response forces is held in two stages. The deployment and establishment of a grouping of Russian troops in the territory of Belarus will be carried out by February 9. During the second stage, a joint exercise, “Union Resolve 2022,” will be held from February 10 to 20.
