Belarus authorities seek to introduce new personal income tax

Belarus plans to introduce a tax on income from the sale of own or collected for sale products if the proceeds from their sale exceed 200 basic units (5,800 Belarusian rubles) during a tax period.

This follows from the amendments to the taxation laws posted on the Ministry of Finance website. The bill has already been approved in two readings.

Now income tax is planned to be imposed on those who sell their products like fruits and vegetables or are collecting medicinal plants, mushrooms, and berries to sell them to organizations or entrepreneurs for industrial harvesting.

According to the amendments, those who indicate such earnings in their income sources would have to pay. Personal income tax will be 10 percent of the amount.
