The broadcast of Belsat started in the digital terrestrial TV standard in Lithuania

The multiplex includes transmitters in Vilnius, Šalčininkai and Švenčionys. Apart from Belsat, the TVP World channel will be available via regular antennas.

There are already 4 other Polish Television channels on the multiplex, which cover 20 percent of Lithuania’s population: TVP Vilnius, TVP Info, TVP Historia 2, and TVP Polonia.

The Polish public broadcaster TVP also obtained a concession from Lithuanian regulator LRTK for broadcasting 6 channels on the national multiplex (MUX-2) and together with a technological cooperator is working on their launch. As a result, TVP Vilnius, TVP Info, TVP Historia 2, TVP Polonia, TVP World, and Belsat TV will be available to approximately two-thirds of the Lithuanian population.
